From eventing to a multiple Group 1 winning trainer

Annabel has only been training a few short years but in that time she's cemented herself as one of Sydney's leading racehorse trainers. Her first runner was a winner and she trained her first Group 1 winner in her first nine months of training.

Sydney metropolitan racing is one of the hardest jurisdictions that Australia has to offer and Annabel seems to have thrived in the environment. She was a competitive rider, riding at 2-star level in British venting before her interest in racing led her to the land down under.

She worked for industry leaders such as Gai Waterhouse and Ciaron Maher before setting up her own racing stable at Warwick Farm. She currently has 65 horses in training and is proving to have a keen eye for selecting imports that would prosper in Australia.

Annabel's eventing background is what cultivated her approach to racehorse training. She has proved that an equestrian skillset of any kind is transferable into different disciplines. I loved hearing about her first pony, to producing young horses to now being and up and coming trainer within the racing ranks.
